What did I like most and least about the company?
My answer:
- The competition between employees
- The favoritism of the boss towards “popular” worker
- I liked learning how to do new tasks
What did I like most and least about the industry culture?
- How the quantitative metrics don’t matter that much and it’s useless as long as it doesn’t convert to sale
- How everyone thinks marketing is same as sales and there has to be a magical formula to bring success
- How void some of the research and analytics are – fake ads and low quality effort from so many different companies lowers the morale
- I liked researching and the belief that there’s an answer or a clue to a problem
What did I like most and least about my boss?
- How my boss’ values and objective is to generate clients and only make money instead of work on efficiency of the workflow and build the brand
- How half assed he is with everything
- How he don’t give feedbacks on the work as much compared to the tasks he gives
What did I like most and least about the people I worked with?
- Mindless tribalism with fellow coworkers and being submissive to each other but being competitive with the boss
What was the most challenging thing about working there?
When was I the happiest or the proudest?
What was my biggest accomplishment?
- Understanding that I don’t need a college degree to show my skills and talent
